   I was trying ti figure out what you were doing with that board, till I remembered how soft the metal is on the base of the Hermes Baby and Empire Aristocrat. Nice move.

     yes, once I added the support from the clipboard between the typewriter and the mount, it’s become very stable. I can even tilt the machine down at a 15 or 20 degree angle, which handily solves the copy vision issues that these older Aristocrats/Rockets/Babys have. No more leaning forward to see what I’ve written. :D
