Heh, it’s tough for me to follow Joe’s blog without being inspired to do stuff, and of course, the idea of Lumen Prints, basically using normal photo print paper as film and sensitizing it with tapwater, certainly appealed to me as a quick evening lark. I happen to have all the basic materials handy:
One old Kodak Vigilant Junior Six-20 (thrift store find, in box!).

Originally meant for 620 film, I’ll cut the mystery very expired print paper that I also found at a thrift store into rectangles of 2 3/4″ by 3 1/2″
Wet the emulsion side with tapwater and stick it the right way in.
try 1, f22 exposed at about 30 minutes. man this paper has really visible flaws..
try 2, ahhh! the sun’s going away. I’d better point the camera right at it at f32 for 40 minutes! That will certainly result in better contrast… not!
Nice work. I saw his post also. Thought it would be a good use for some of the old 4 x 5 paper I had stored in the refridge with some 4 x 5 film. Problem is; I did not pack what was in the refrigerator. I think the supplies are still in Florida! or I’ll unpack a box a few months from now and find it.
