  1. That “For Cash Register Salesmen Only” piece should be required reading for every person connected with designing, manufacturing, ordering, installing, and operating voting machines! Thanks.

    1. Yeah, I wonder if accuracy is really Job One when the things don’t even produce a printed receipt of your vote in plain language instead of an unreadable bar code.

  2. Hi Munk. I have an RC Allen Visomatic Business Machine serial #1608548 Model 75. I can’t find any information on this particular machine. Can you help me? Thank you Cindy

    1. Well, I can tell you it appears to be of 1961 vintage.

      1. Thank you so much. Going to try and sell it, I have no use for it. Thank you again.

      2. What about a number 1334469 inside the drawer under the black tray

      3. I’m looking at buying a register that he says the key won’t open anymore. Are they fixable? He can’t find a model number.

  3. Hello, I have an rc allen cash register but i can’t find what year it is. there are 2 metal tags on it. top metal tag says 1000, the tag under it says 213122. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!!!

    1. *shrug* That’s all I got. This is just incidental information collected from sources I happened to have from researching typewriters. I don’t know much about cash registers.

      1. Ok, thanks munk.

  4. I have a rc allen model 75 serial number 1506190, in good shape how much is it worth? Thank you.

    1. considering that it’s the *only one* serial numbered 1506190, I’d say it’s probably worth at least 32,000 Baht, as long as it’s one of the blue ones with the floppy drive.
