Correspondence ephemera & a couple more EDCNs

Weapon of Choice: “Thunderbird 2” 1968 Montgomery Ward Signature 440T #B8860433 First EDCN to give away gets the blue marbled paper that was lining the envelope of T.C.’s stationery. Repurposed as the inner cover. I ended up deciding to send this one to T.C. because of course. Life Goals: Personal Backyard Tiki Bar. Second EDCN got some red marbled paper on the inside cover. I have a bunch of this paper, so a lot of them will get this color.

  1. More EDCN fun! I also like that I’m beginning to be able to read your handwriting effortlessly!

    1. Heh, hopefully my handwriting gets better with practice (:

      1. I kept telling myself that for quite a while, then I finally gave in and bought myself a typewriter. Now I tell myself that both my handwriting and my typing are bound to improve if given enough time.

  2. Did someone type my name? Heh. I love the idea of putting the stamps in the EDCN. For now, I like to leave the envelopes intact, but I’m sure it’s just a matter of time before I run out of room and look for ways to save the good bits. I’m curious which of my fountain pens will fit in that pen loop. I suspect the Lamy Logo, which is the only good Lamy I’ve experienced. Of course, I say this, knowing that newsprint and fountain pens are not friendly. But as you’ve pointed out, the EDCN can be loaded with any paper.

  3. Wow, I feel honored that both the stamp I used as well my stationery design made it into your notebook. I’ll have to keep your small notebooks in mind in the future when sending further correspondence. Know that I’m really enjoying this EDC series and it’s all the better knowing just how much fun you are having with it.

  4. There was a tiki bar near the University of Chicago when I studied there—known for its 4 or 5 different huge menus of questionable food, its blowfish lamps, and of course, its drinks served in ridiculous mugs.

    Love that marbled endpaper.

    1. Sounds like a swank hangout – hopefully you downed a few Zombies there in your time. (:

  5. I <3 your creativity. Where'd you get the black/brown ribbon?

    1. I managed to score like a dozen of these NOS Silk black/brown ribbon on steel spools from Clark Hinson many years ago. Snatched up every one he had. :D
