New back cover for EDCN plus Transitions

Time to make improvements to the back cover of the EDCN! (:
Weapon of Choice: “Moneypenny” 1948 Royal Quiet De Luxe #A-1551567 I want the back cover to fold back flat and offer more room to store typed-on pages, so we need to add a single-bend, 1/2″ section to the bind end and re-punch. Bonus: the binder clip will now be invisible from the outside with the covers closed! How do we secure the typed-on pages to this new back cover space so they don’t blow away in a strong wind? Well, among the many types of Acco prong binders I’ve collected from thrift stores over the years, I got this box of 100 “adhesive back” 2 3/4″ prong clips. They can use the bridge the other ones use, but you can just bend them down to quickly secure your paper sheets. The main difference? the back side of the prongs are adhesive, so you can just stick them where needed. :D

  1. Is that a Parker Jotter I spy tucked into the pen holder? I’m a big fan of the stainless steel Jotters.

    1. Yes it is! (: I’ve got an all-steel one and one with a pink lower barrel. Thrift store finds. Love the chonky feel of the button clicks :D

  2. Lovin’ the EDCN evolution!

My dad used Parker Jotters exclusively; I can still see his neat printing, used at work at DASA/DNA on Sandia Base.

  3. Hey Ted! As an aspiring typewriter enthusiast, I would like to thank you for all the work you’ve put into helping the community by creating the typewriter databsase and this blog. It’s been such a nice experience getting into my typing hobby with a community as positive and helpful as this! Thanks and keep the good work up! :)

    1. You’re very welcome! (:
