Revision 1.2 Sequential Circuits Pro-One Monosynth, made February 8, 1983, probably towards the end of the J-wire keyboard production, just before the design switched to the un-restorable membrane-connection keyboard. Sequential Circuits Pro-One Programming Manual
heh, loads more – just gotta dig them out of hiding off old hard drives and CDROMs. Stay tuned, I’ll drop the beat a couple more times before the month is out. (:
Really enjoyed the “Runaway” piece. I love the way the music wraps around that strange, convoluted story (the sort of weird stuff you’d overhear on a bus or a train) and leaves it behind – as if the music is breaking free and running away from the story.
There was a significant chunk of the 1990’s where I carried around a battery-operated Marantz tape recorder and that old Canon half-pixel digicam to a lot of local bar shows where friends of mine played in their bands. I picked up a lot of interesting recordings then, and later in the early oughts used them in mixes I did at parties. It’s funny now as I turn the half-century mark I get to utilize all of that material as grist for the blog. Kind of remixing the remixes, if you will. :D
That was a nice audio piece. Can you share more?

Those old analog synths are really neat. More fun to use and repairable, unlike the digital ones that lock the user into what the designer wanted.
Those are the coolest circuit boards I’ve ever seen. I glad you opened it up and took pics!

Old-school analog… You can’t duplicate that flavor with a digital box.
