Sad news, Ted. After working on the patient off and on for the last six weeks or so, I’m finally calling it: Time of death 11:24 am 5/13/2023. Cause of death: persistent eject cycle loop and stage 4 “mystery-spring-rattling around-in-the-case” syndrome. Also there’s a broken injection molded mechanical part that I can’t identify. Ah, Akai tape deck, we hardly knew ye. Services will be held this Sunday morning on TCL.
