Now, who is that dog on the post stamp? I want to know its story!
it’s the current USPS “Dog Bite Awareness” cancellation mark. It’s super annoying and very dark, but in this case happened to be positioned well on the stamp inside the sunburst. Looks sort of like a photographic double exposure. :D
The “dog bite awareness” cancellation is on all my recently received mail. Who is going to be helped by this? Someone who never once realized dogs can hurt you until they saw this message on a piece of mail? Government sure can be silly.
