Cougar Six-Y gets a repaint of his outer shell. Having been exposed to the sun for God alone knows how many years, a scrubbing just revealed a sickly yellowish green color, and a splotchy, uneven one at that. Eww. A repaint is in order, and I think black will look pretty sharp as a two-tone with the turquoise.
Rubber rejuvinated, machine deep-cleaned and carriage re-assembled. We’ll let the painted shell halves spend the night drying…
On the turntable tonight..
It’s going to look great!
What kind of paint are you using on the plastic?
I went to the Ace Hardware and looked for something gloss that said “Bonds to Plastic”. Krylon, I think it was. I’ll check when I get back to the press room tomorrow to put it together.. (:
I can tell already that typewriter is going to look great.
