Predictably, an Olivetti Valentine article in a design magazine On Valentine’s Day
The Scandalous Valentine Ettore Sottsass Wanted to Give You in All Capital Letters
Surprisingly well-informed, but again neglects to mention Sottass’s lack of involvement with the final design.
Now, if it were made in all upper case with a slashed zero I think I may want one: an Olivetti Valentine Mill. I’ll need to settle for my Signet and manually slash the 0 with the slash key.
I’m sure I know a few people who have computer keyboards that only type on the internet uppercase characters. Maybe he was ahead of his time.
