Spring Typewriter Season Begins, and 4th Phoenix Type-In Report the Third…

I’ve been a bit tardy in keeping up with the posts reporting the 4th Phoenix Type-in, but you’ll have to excuse me because  it’s officially Spring Typewriter Hunting Season! Thousands of people across the country are spring cleaning, and donating unwanted stuff to thrift stores every day this month – and that means fresh, new typewriters are more plentiful than usual for a little while! This communique from Typerati Central says it all:

  1. Is this the flag of Typo Jack? He is the most feared of the typewriter corsairs.

  2. another great post of type-in ephemera! I will let you know if I find anything, it’s been slim pickings here lately.

  3. I love the Typerati communiqué.

  4. Ditto what Richard said. I love those logos!

We’ve had roughly two days that resemble spring in Kansas City. Today we had snow flurries followed by freezing drizzle. I’m afraid the typewriter pickings will remain slim for quite some time, but it is open season on groundhogs.
