Found a small collection of vintage cocktail swizzlers probably collected by some businessman who went on sales trips. Here's his collection of swizzles from Western Airlines, United, Pan Am, TWA, and one interesting one with a crescent moon and the Apollo moon lander stamped "Continental to Houston"

He went to a few risque' places as well, where he got a penis straw, and some swizzlers from the Playboy Club. I'm not sure why he bothered saving the swizzle from McDonald's.

This businessman sampled drinks from many states, Las Vegas, Encino, CA, the unlikely town of Kiester, MN, and finally where he hung up his spurs here in Mesa, AZ.

The one Typewriter that Peter and I found, and it was at St. Vinnies! It's in pristine condition and needs little if any work.

  1. Congratulations on your type-in. Looks like everyone enjoyed the event. But..no pictures or you and Tori?

      1. Hi. My name is Ugo Costantino and I have a Smith Corona Sterling Manual typewriter, was my Mother’s and all in the household used if for school work. I believe it’s a 1965 model in grey with the original black case. I do not have the original instruction manual. I believe everything works, just needs a fresh black/red ribbon. Also, I cannot find a serial number on the unit anywhere.

What can I do with this machine? Any suggestions?

  2. Thanks for sharing, Ted. We’ll do it again soon!

  3. wow that rocket type looks much better! Many thanks. It’s always great to see you two and meet someone new besides. Erik appears to be recoiling from my schoolmaster stare.

  4. I enjoyed this post, what a cool idea to organize a type-in in Arizona.

That St. Vinnie Sterling you found looks very clean. Congrars.

  5. I’d say four is a pretty large number for a Type-In, from my experience at least :-) Looks like you all had a great time and thanks for the directions to Key Snap.

  6. This looks like fun, and hey, we are ALL the Typerati!

i did not know about Key Snap, I will add it to my blogroll.
