Yeah, with the whole fiasco of the Arizona Primaries and the past week’s incessant news of Trump and Cruz abandoning politics and policy speeches to instead trade insults and allegations about each others wives, the 2016 race can seem pretty relentlessly negative. However, today we got a little reminder about the basic difference in attitude between the guy that people really ought to be paying attention to and the rest of the field:
It’s not much, just a curious little finch stopping by Bernie’s podium to say hello, but it makes me wonder if any of the other candidates would have smiled in delight and taken the off-the-cuff moment to promote world peace and an end to wars. I shudder to think of what would have happened if a little bird landed on Trump’s podium mid-speech, given what happens to interlopers at *his* rallies. To me, this kind of perfectly illustrates the very bedrock difference in the candidates running this season. A Future To Believe In indeed…
oh, heh – this oughta be fun…
I heard the voting lines ended up being 3 hours long in some places down there, sheesh. And I’m curious what Birdie thinks of the current political situation. A golden twig in every home!
Cute!
Honestly, I doubt that Bernie would make the best president, but I don’t doubt that he is a good guy who cares about real problems.
As an “establishment” conservative I can’t endorse Bernie, but I can sure appreciate the value of a politician who talks the issues, is intellectually honest and is a basically nice guy…*sobbing*…
Oooh, the picture of Bernie & the Bird in that white Disney get-up is simply divine! (With that impossibly small wasp waist!) Thanks for making me smile on this Easter noon.
Thanks, Ted, I got your message and the email address. Hopefully I can connect with some Tucson typers.
