20,000 woah! I wonder how quickly that number has grown? If you have any infographics or plots charting # of galleries vs time I’d love to see them. It would be a good way to visualize The Rise of the Machines, er…, I mean The Typewriter Revolution.
I second that. If the information exists archived somewhere, it would be really interesting to see how its grown over the years.
There are some old posts where I announce milestones hit over the years. I suppose I could write a query page to list the number of galleries that were entered for each year, though.

Close to 20,000 typewriter galleries?! I’m going to add some of my forgotten typewriters to help push us over 20K.
Even though in 2011 I commented, “I will have to keep this issue in mind for my own noiseless portables,” I did not. I’d forgotten all about your post. So when I got my own letter from Gunier, I was not able to provide very helpful advice. However, I did point him in your direction! You are the most prompt and dedicated typewriter correspondent I know, and he had written 100 or so letters without getting any reply before mine, so I wanted to help him find another type pal.
A hundred letters with no reply? He needs to join Type Pals – lots of people wanting to correspond there. (:
We’ll see how he shakes out. He’s on the Episode list now, so if he wants letters, he’ll get ’em.
