Antique Alphabet Stamping Set and EDCN Brian G of Buckeye! Mary E. Of MyOldTypewriter.com One of a handful of people who came in to MTE and were treated to an impromptu Typospherian Experience. Our Gang! I was curious to see if I could find replacement shell screws – to the parts manual! a 3-48 Binding Head screw. Hmmn, smaller than any screws on my parts machines. I did find it at McMaster-Carr, but I ain’t buying a hundred of them :D New desktop wallpaper for the Toshi Station laptop. Replaces the generic starfields I’ve been using since 2002. I probably do have the jacket screws, but they’re probably stuck along with 20 or 30 other tiny screws to one of the big magnets on my fridge. If not, I’ll spring for a box of the next time I’m at Copper State Nut & Bolt.
Thank you for a fantastic afternoon – could have stayed there far into the night. I was so glad to meet the friendly legends of the typewriter world in person. The Phoenix area seems to be a hotbed of typewriter activity, so I wish I lived closer – but I’ll be back!
Looks like you had a fun time.
I find McMaster-Carr comes to the rescue quite often with my typewriter projects as well as others.
Those little Zephyrs are neat little typewriters. The platen on mine needs a visit to JJ Short.
There’s not much better than a few snaps of typewriter meetups. Warm fuzzies!
